18 Months Old

Chloe had her 18 month check-up the other day. She passed with flying colors! Here she is on her first day of nursery. She was wound up that day, I think she must have known what was happening! Here's Chloe at the Dr.'s office. She loved the twirly chair.
She had to get two shots and a poke in the toe. She was so brave, she hardly even cried. I gave her my lipstick to play with to help distract her from the shots, and she was more mad at me for taking that away after the shots than she was when the nurse poked her!

Weight- 23 1/2 lbs. (just under the 50th%)

Chlo is getting so big! She is such a sweetie.

Exciting News!

So, we found out today at church that Elder L. Tom Perry and another general authority (I can't remember his name) will be visiting our stake for stake conference! I am so excited to go listen to him speak on October 19th.
Oh, and Chloe had her first day of nursery today! She did so well. I dropped her off and she went right over to the dishes and started playing. I didn't see her for the next two hours. She loved it!

When I was younger, I was obsessed with horses. I knew everything about them. My dream was to live on a horse ranch and break horses. My grandma and grandpa even let me move their horse Ramblin down to a stable in Draper so I could ride her and take care of her.

New Hairdo!

I got a haircut yesterday... it's a little shorter than I wanted it to be but I am starting to like it. My mom wanted me to post a picture so she could see it- here it is Mom!

Just Like Big Sissy!

Chloe is really growing up these days. She has the cutest personality and is so much fun to be around every day. She doesn't really have any words yet but she knows exactly what she wants, and she thinks that by yelling at us she will get her way! She loves to play with Niah, but most of all she loves to be just like Niah. Chloe has to do everything Niah does. Chloe never wears hats and when I try to put them on her she just rips it off. The other day, Niah was wearing one of her hats so Chloe went in and found the cowgirl hat. She wore it most of the night and would not take it off! Chloe follows Niah around like a puppy. We went blueberry picking not too long ago and Chloe did everything Niah did- putting berries in the bucket, eating them and then spitting it out when she got one that wasn't ripe yet, and things like that! She even made the same face as Niah for this picture!
Chloe has learned how to climb up on the window seal. Her and Niah will stand there for long periods of time just watching what's going on outside.

Lately, Chloe's favorite thing to do is sit on the big potty like Niah does. She makes me take her diaper off and then she gets some toilet paper and just drops it in the toilet, but she thinks she is wiping! When I take her off she throws a huge fit that lasts for at least 30 minutes!
We love our little Chloe and can't believe how big she is getting. I have been looking at pictures of her as a baby and wonder where those days went. Next week will be her first week in nursery! I am excited but also blown away that she is at that point in her life already. I will miss my primary buddy. She will love nursery though. I love you Chlo!

North Beach

Yesterday, we went to the beach. It has been raining so much lately that we haven't been able to enjoy the sunshine, so we took advantage while we had the chance. We took Bryan's kayak and some hot dogs to grill and had a nice little outing! The girls always love the beach.

Niah had to 'drive' the kayak all by herself. She felt really big and if Bryan held on to the boat she would get very upset.

Here's a video of the girls in the kayak. It's not that exciting, but it's kind of fun to see Niah paddling on her own!

Breaking Dawn Party

I went with a group of friends to the Breaking Dawn book release party. It was great to get out and be goofy. I think we were pretty much the oldest ones there, besides maybe some older parent chaperones! If you can't tell from the picture, we all have our vampire teeth in!!

Flashback...

I had to post these pictures but they wouldn't fit in my first post. The first picture is of Niah and Addi this last week at Shelburne Farms... This is them about two years ago in the exact same place. Can you believe how much they have changed?! They are so grown up now. It's amazing how fast time goes. Addi was younger than Chloe in this picture... weird!

Shelburne Farms

Last week, the girls and I went to Shelburne Farms with my friend Miquelle and her two girls. It was so much fun. Niah has always loved going there and this was Chloe's first time going when she actually cared about what was going on! The girls loved seeing all of the animals. We had a great time. I can't believe we hadn't gone yet this summer! We will definitely have to go back before the summer ends!
