Birthday Celebration

We took Bryan bowling last night to celebrate his birthday. We invited our good friends, the Mickelsens, to go with us. We picked the right night to be there! The radio station was there giving away prizes and between both families we left with movie passes, dinner for two, a David Cook CD, three bags of Champlain chocolates, a Bud Light t-shirt and hat, and the Mickelsens won the grand prize- two Smuggler's Notch ski passes! It was so much fun!

Happy Birthday B! Thanks for having a birthday so we could go out and have a great time!!!

Chloe's Big Day

Chloe had a very fun birthday. It was pretty uneventful, but Chloe didn't seem to mind! Bryan didn't have to be to school until 9:30 so Chloe got to open her presents in the morning. It's a good thing because I don't think she could have waited until dinner time! She got some really fun things. Some Ponyville toys, some very cute outfits, a little doll that you can snap the clothes on-I can't remember what it's called at the moment, and a Barbie bike. She loved all of her presents. So did Niah, they have been fighting over them ever since!
Here's Chloe trying out her new bike. Her feet don't quite reach the petals yet, but hopefully by the time summer comes she'll grow an inch or two!

I love this picture of Chloe. She looks so big in it.

I made Chloe an ice cream cake for her birthday. I think she liked blowing out the candles more than the actual cake! She made Bryan relight the candles at least ten times.

Niah's friend Kelsey has a birthday the same day as Chloe so Niah got to go to her party. It was a pony princess party so we dressed Niah up like a Cowgirl Princess! Niah loves her cowboy boots. She wears them everywhere we go- dance, church, etc. Doesn't she look pretty?!

Chloe had a great birthday. Thanks to everyone who sent presents and called her. I think she felt special!
P.S. Congrats to my brother, Colin, who got engaged to Ashley Scott on Monday night!! I am so excited for them and can't wait for Ashley to be a part of the family. I wish I had a picture of them both- I'll have to work on that. They'll be getting married on June 19th. Yes, we will be going. My doctor said the last day I can fly is June 20th so we are going to go for it! I'm very excited, I wouldn't miss it!

Happy 2nd Birthday Chloe!

February 24th, 2007 was the day that our little Chloe was born. It seems like just yesterday and I really don't know where the time went. I can't believe she is two years old! Chloe is such a sweet, happy little girl. I always tell Bryan and Niah that I think she was born with the gift of obedience like Ella in the movie "Ella Enchanted"! She is so pleasant and easy going. I love being her mom, she makes me laugh and makes me happy every day. Since it's her special day, I thought I would write some things down about her...

-She loves to help me clean. The other day I had the broom out and I hadn't swept up the pile yet. Next thing I know Chloe has the dust pan out and is sweeping up the pile for me. Surprisingly, all of the little crumbs made it into the garbage! And just tonight, she wanted to help me fold and put away laundry, but I made her go to bed instead! I love that she will pick up her toys when asked.

-She loves going to nursery at church. She spots her nursery teacher every week in the back of the chapel and gets really excited to see her. She also loves singing time and knows all the actions to the songs.

-Chloe is a monkey. She can now move the stool to where she wants it, climbs up on the counter and gets a cup, snack, or treats out of the cupboards. One day I found her on top of the microwave trying to get her binki off the top of the fridge!

-She can talk, but I'm sure that only the three, well, four of us know what she is saying! Bryan was worried that she was delayed. She must have heard him say this because ever since then she won't stop talking! She's very polite when she talks too- No anks, peese, uv eww, etc.

-She loves her big sister Niah. Whatever Niah is doing Chloe has to try. She also knows how to push Niah's buttons. She can be quite the pest. If Niah doesn't want her coloring in the same book with her, Chloe will lay across the page Niah is coloring and color it herself!

-She loves her grandpa Mike. I think 'ampa' was one of her first words. She always pretends to talk to him on her play phones.

-Chloe loves to get out of the house. Even when Bryan goes to get the mail or to take out the garbage she has to go with him.

-She LOVES ice cream. She takes after her mother. She'll stand by the freezer and say, "eam peese!" I am making her an ice cream cake for her birthday.

-She is a pleasant, go-with-the-flow girl. She is obedient and sensitive. I can't get very mad at her or use a harsh voice with her when she does something mischievious or she gets her feelings hurt. Her smile is contagious- it has been that way since she was a tiny baby!

We love our Chloe Nanners and we are so glad that she is part of our little family. We love you Chlo and hope you have a wonderful 2nd birthday!

Pregnancy Dreams

I don't know what it is about pregnancy, but I have the weirdest, and sometimes very disturbing, dreams when I'm pregnant. Every night is a new adventure. What's really weird is that I remember the details of the dreams every morning when I wake up. Does this ever happen to anyone else?! I have had dreams about having twins, trying to escape from mass murderers in Iraq, people in my family dying and Bryan knowing about it but never telling me, (not good), lots of dreams about people in our ward and we have to escape from bad guys, etc. There are lots more but those are the ones that stand out in my mind. When I'm not pregnant I don't think I dream- well, I never remember dreams if I do. Maybe it's the out of control hormones or something, I don't know. I should keep a pregnancy dream journal! But really, does this happen to anyone else or am I just crazy?!! Oh- and I definitely need one of those pillows in the picture!

Happy Heart Day:Part 2

Bryan's present to all the girls on Valentine's Day was tickets to Disney On Ice. It was at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, NY where the 1980 winter olympics was held. We had so much fun and it was nice to get out and go on a little adventure. The girls had so much fun. Chloe talked through the whole thing and was telling me what all the characters were doing- dancing, falling, twirling, etc. Niah just watched with a big grin on her face.

Here's the girls trying out a bobsled!

The show was of course, great! Disney always puts on awesome shows.

The girls were so excited for it to start. Chloe is working on her cheesy camera grin these days.

This is Niah when the show was over. She was not very happy that it ended!
Thanks B for the tickets and for treating all of us to a day out. It was a fun road trip and a great family day to remember!

Happy Heart Day: Part 1

We had a great Valentine's Day. It started with a delivery from Mom. (Me) The girls and Bryan each got a bucket full of goodies. The girls loved opening the door and seeing their surprises. Then as we were eating our breakfast, this special delivery came. Flowers for all the girls from my wonderful, thoughtful dad. He would give us all flowers on Valentine's Day growing up and has continued the tradition even now that we are married and living far away. He even gives the grand-daughters roses! How sweet is that?! Thanks Dad, you made our day!
The girls were so happy to get flowers. They had huge grins on their faces and carried them around for a while. I never, ever cook breakfast but I thought I would do something fun for my family so I made them all breakfast crepes. We put Nutella, strawberries, sugar, and whip cream on them. They were really yummy. Bryan got me a new blender because mine is soooo crappy. It was a pleasant surprise and I can't wait to use it today. He also took us all (I actually had the idea and bought the tickets but he was nice enough to let us go for Valentine's Day!) to Disney On Ice in Lake Placid, NY. It was so much fun and the girls LOVED it. Pictures of that still to come.

We hope everyone had a Happy Heart Day!!

Dancing Girl

Today, I took my new camera to Niah's dance class and thought it would be fun to get some pictures of Niah in action! Here are a few of my favorites.
I love her cute bum in her leotard!

She is getting really good and loves her class and her teacher, Miss Jeanne. I had fun sitting in the room watching her! It's still weird to me that I have a daughter who is old enough to take a dance class.

Sledding Fun

It has been so cold outside lately that you can't even go out without feeling like you have frost bite. The high has been zero on a couple of days. Brrrr. On Monday it was a warm 35 degree day, so we decided to take advantage of the warm weather (ha ha) and go sledding. The girls had a lot of fun. Niah didn't want to go because she wanted to stay in the warm house, but once we got her there she had a blast. Chloe said the sledding was scary and only went down a couple of times. She enjoyed watching some kids trying to snowboard off a jump and then crashing into the snow more than she enjoyed the sledding. It's a little hard to see, but this is Bryan and Niah after hitting a jump that they didn't know was there. They caught some serious air. Niah was mad at Bryan for taking her down the hill that way!

Niah and her daddy walking up to the top of the hill...

Here's Chloe watching the snowboarders crash. She was very intrigued by them.

This is what the sky looked like when we finished our sledding. It was so pretty. The picture doesn't do it justice!

I posted some videos of our little adventure below. It was great to get out and get some fresh air. I am counting down to warm weather. I hope it comes soon so that we can go out and play every day!
