Surprise!!

Since Bryan turned the big 3-0, I decided that a big celebration was in order. I planned a surprise party for Bryan. The theme was "Flashback to 1980." (the year he was born) Bryan doesn't love having all the attention, but he was a good sport and we had fun hanging out with friends reminiscing about the 80's. Some youth from our ward were kind enough to come and watch the kids in our church's nursery so that the adults could just visit and enjoy each other's company. It was wonderful! My girls did awesome at keeping the secret, they have known about the party for over a month and they didn't spill the beans. Thanks to everyone who came and for making Bryan's 30th a memorable one!

I hope you had a great birthday Bryan! Love you lots.

Party

Chloe had a wonderful birthday! She had a Fancy Nancy party with her sister and her friend, Brighten. They ate fancy snacks and made necklaces. Chloe was patient to wait until Daddy got home from school to open her presents. She got a Fancy Nancy doll, a bike from Grandpa Mike and Grandma Mel, new clothes- that she loves, little scriptures with some marking pencils, and a few more fun things. I let her choose what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she chose hot dogs and Cheetos!

I think she had a fun, fabulous day. It was a success!!

Chloe Is Three

Our little Chloe is three years old today! Wow, the time has really flown by. Chloe is such a sweet little girl. She is funny, spunky, and loves to help around the house. She loves Fancy Nancy, fruit snacks (she got some for her birthday), and she loves to play dress-up and put on make-up. She loves to eat Nucky Narms (Lucky Charms) for breakfast and if we don't have any she tells me to, "Go to the store right now and buy some!" She brings sunshine and joy to our family.
Here are some pictures from the last year. Boy, she has changed a lot!We love you Chloe and hope you enjoy your special day!

TOES:

It's what's for dinner! It's okay, Bennett. I would rather eat my toes before I ate green beans too!
My little man has an ear infection and Bronchiolitis. Poor guy. I hope you get feeling better soon Brother.

Our Heart Day

Our Valentine's weekend was so much fun. Bryan took me to the Stake Dance! Funny, huh?! We had a lot of fun and we even learned how to waltz. It brought back funny memories of dances when we were teens. I think Bryan would actually go back, if I wanted him to!

I must be getting old. I didn't recognize half of the songs and the kids were doing new dances that I had never seen before. What happened to the good ole' Boot Scoot Boogie?! It was weird to be the 'old' people at the dance. We still feel like we are kids!

Saturday afternoon, we watched our neighbor's kids so they could go to lunch and then they watched our kids while we went to the dance. Our kids are all the same ages. Georgia is a month older than Bennett. They are so cute! I really think we will have to reunite them in about 20 years and maybe they will get married! haha.

Sweetheart's Week was fun. The girls loved it. Niah would ask every day what we were doing for Sweetheart's Week. I think we will try it again next year.
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day and hope you did too!

Benny Boo

Our little man is growing too fast! Just in the past week Bennett has started doing the one-arm army crawl around the house. I really think he will be crawling so soon. I'm not ready for that!! Here are some pics of our chunky boy. Some are blurry- sorry. Everything goes in his mouth. His favorite thing is to pull on the corner of our rug and eat the little carpet pieces. The other day I had to pull a piece of a plastic bag out of his mouth.
It's a little hard to see, but look at those rolls! I love his chunkiness.

Bennett is so busy these days. I can't leave him for a second or he will have something new in his mouth or he hits his head on something and gets sad.

The girls like to put Bennett in his toy box. He gets a kick out of this! He thinks it's so funny and so do the girls. They all get the giggles. He loves his big sisters.

We have been trying to sleep train Bennett. After waking up at night with him every hour for a month and a half, I gave in and decided to let him cry it out. Tonight is the fourth night of this new routine. Let's hope he figures it out soon. I can't stand to listen to him cry, it makes me feel so awful inside. This technique never worked on my girls so we'll see if it will work on him. I sure would be more pleasant to be around if I got some sleep!!

Sweetheart's Week

Valentine's Day is coming!! I love this holiday. Our family is going to try something a little different this year to celebrate Valentine's Day. My friend told me about a tradition they have in their family. They call it Sweetheart's Week. For a week before Valentine's they do special things for each other to show them that they love them. Some examples are: doing acts of service, leaving a little something on their beds (a shirt, little goodie, etc), leaving a note, and creative things like that. I am excited to try this fun, new tradition. It's a perfect way to show someone that you care about them!
This picture found here.
I'll let you know how it goes!

Giggles

Chloe went to the dentist on Monday for the first time. She did so great! It looks like she was scared in the picture, but she really wasn't. She walked right in, hopped up in the chair and opened her mouth. She kept her mouth open the whole time, even when the dentist was not in her mouth! I had to tell her a couple of times that it was okay to swallow. I couldn't help but laugh at her a little. I was so proud of her for going to the dentist and for not freaking out! Oh ya, she didn't have any cavities either. This is what I saw in my rearview mirror as we drove to the dentist. I was laughing so hard when I looked back and saw this. Niah made these 'goggles' at school last week and she loves them. I love that she takes them with us wherever we go. She's such a goofball sometimes. She makes me laugh!
Don't worry, I was not driving while taking this picture. I was parked.
