Happy 28th Bryan!

Happy Birthday Bryan!! Bryan is 28 years old today. The girls and I are happy to have him back with us. Bryan is the best husband, father, and person in the world. I feel very lucky to be his wife. He is such a hard worker and is very dedicated to everything he does. I am so proud of him for finishing up his Board test and for working so hard at school. I love you Bryan and hope you have a great birthday!

More fun in Utah...

We have been doing so much here in Utah- I'm not sure I can write about all of it in one post! We have been here for 4 1/2 weeks now, we still have until March 1st. The time really has flown by. Bryan takes his big boards test tomorrow and then he will fly out Friday. I can't wait for him to get here- Friday seems so far away but it's really not! While Bryan has been in Vermont studying and working hard for his test, the girls and I have been playing just as hard! Niah and Chloe love playing with their cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Niah's favorite thing to play is princess and prince. My dad has to be the prince and she told him yesterday that they had to go outside and get married! She is loving all of the attention. Chloe has learned a lot since we have been here. She has learned how to clap, wave, do what a fishy does, how to go up and down the stairs, and give high fives. She loves her cousin Preslee. When she see her she just has to give her hugs and kisses. It's really cute. Some of my friends from Middle School and High School got together for a little reunion. We met at my friend Melanie's parents' house (does that make sense?!) and her dad has horses so he saddled up his horse Lola and let Niah and I ride it. Niah had a blast and did not want to get off. It was a lot of fun. I haven't ridden a horse forever, it brought back fun memories.

A couple of Sundays ago we went to Temple Square. Niah had been asking if we could go see the Salt Lake Temple. When we got there, Niah saw the temple and said, "Can we go in there now Grandma?" It was really cute. We tried to explain to her that she needed a special ticket to get in the temple but she just didn't quite understand. In the North End visitors center they have an amazing new exhibit about the family. It's a walk through movie and each room is decorated like a different room in a house- a nursery, kitchen, family room, etc. The message it gave about the family was so awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone! Chloe and Preslee also had a great time!
Here's Niah in front of the Salt Lake Temple. Since we have been in Utah she has been able to see a lot of temples- she can see the Jordan River temple from the freeway and we can see the Draper temple being built from my mom and dad's house. Niah calls it the 'yellow temple' because the stuff that goes under whatever makes it white is yellow right now. I wish that we had a temple closer to us in Vermont. Maybe someday there will be one there!
There is so much more to tell about but I will do it in another post, this one is getting way too long. We are looking forward to having our daddy here and also to go spend time with the Mason family.

Happy Heart Day!

We had a fun Valentine's day today. Niah, Chloe, and I were spoiled rotten! Grandpa Mike gave the girls a rose with a teddy bear. They loved it and Niah felt very special. She kept telling my dad, "Thanks so much Grandpa, that was so nice of you!" My dad sent my mom and I to the salon for an 80 minute massage- can you say heavenly?!! It was so relaxing, I definitely needed that. A little while after I got home the doorbell rang and there was a guy standing there with a huge bouquet of roses that were, surprisingly, for me. They are so beautiful!! I flew home and surprised Bryan last week and we kind of celebrated Valentine's then, so I was very shocked to get roses today. Thanks Love! I love the flowers, you did a good job. I am starting to think that being away from each other is good for us! Haha. I gave Chloe a necklace for Valentine's because she loves beads- well she loves this necklace. She wore it all day long! She was really cute. We are having a great time in Utah. We have done so much. I have so many pictures that it may take a couple posts to get them all in. (I will post them tomorrow, I am too tired right now- it's almost midnight.) This was a wonderful Valentine's day, even though I was away from Bryan. If he was here it would have been perfect!!

Fun Tag...

My sister tagged me... this is a fun one!
10 years ago: I was in 9th grade at Crescent View Middle School. I don't remember who my friends were, probably Melanie Thompson and Amanda Childs- but they were a year older than me. I had a crush on a boy named Eric... he was a senior in high school! I was in love with Tim McGraw... I never really grew out of that one!

Snacks I enjoy:
Nacho Cheese Doritos dipped in cottage cheese, toast with cinnamon and sugar on it, cucumbers dipped in Ranch dressing, and ice cream.

5 things on my to-do-list today...
1. Hang out with Bryan
2. Sleep
3. Go to a movie
4. Cook dinner
5. Pack Niah's snow pants so I can take them to her in Utah (Niah's request!)

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
1. Fly to NYC and go shopping!!
2. Buy a house that has a HUGE laundry room and lots of storage space.
3. Spend a month, or maybe more, in Hawaii.
4. Travel all over the world.
5. Build my girls a huge playroom with a built-in play kitchen, a tree house type thingy with a slide coming down, and a big dance floor with mirrors on the wall since they both love to dance and sing!

3 of my bad habits:
1. Biting my nails.
2. Leaving the clean laundry in the basket for days without folding it.
3. Never cooking a big breakfast- my family eats cereal every day.

5 places I have lived:
1. Draper, UT
2. Ephraim, UT
3. Provo, UT
4. St. George, UT
5. Burlington, VT

5 Jobs I have had:
1. Sanding wood blocks that are used for rubber stamps.
2. Janitor at AG Edwards, my dad's office.
3. Child care provider at Treehouse Athletic Club
4. Receptionist at the Purchasing Department at the U of U.
5. A mommy!!! (the hardest but greatest job of them all!)

Things people don't know about me:
- I have a brown belt in karate.
- I have been to the Superbowl- #35 to be exact! My Grandpa Doug was an official in the NFL.
- When I get ready in the morning and for bed at night I do everything in the same order every day. For example: while showering I wash my hair first then while the conditioner is in my hair I wash my face and wash with soap and then I rinse my hair out. Weird I know -and it's hard to explain in writing!
- I have been to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Now I tag Erica, Ariane, Kathryn, and Aunt Dee.

Here we are at the top of Niah's castle!
